     Over the past two weeks I have learned about the importance of creativity. During this time, we completed several activities involving watching a Ted Talk, completing an activity, and reading an article. After these projects I noticed that using the right side of our brain is needed just as much as our left side.      The first activity that we did was watch a Ted Talk titled “The Theory of Creativity” by Duncan Wardle. In this Ted Talk, Wardle grabbed the attention of the audience by sharing a Christmas experience. He began his lecture by sharing the story of opening a present. As a child, the present could have been used for anything. In the eyes of a child, a box was not just cardboard but instead a rocket ship or a car. Wardle states, “Over time we begin to think reductively because education teaches us to look for one right answer”.      After everything that we have done for the past two weeks, I have concluded that I am going to work independently on my portfolio this year for AICE Media Studies.  The article s, the Social Media Peer Account activity, and the Lost at Sea team building activity all  made me realize that working with others could  be  easier but  might result in a worse quality.      The first  activity that we did was read the articles.  The first article I read was titled, “The effect of personality type on team performance” . In this article, the author described that some personalities work better with others. The  author  used the  Myers Briggs Type Indicator, MBTI, to demonstrate the different personalities.  After reading this article, I decided to take the test myself.
