Question 1: How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? I used a podcast to answer this question because it has a more in-depth response than some of the other questions. In this second episode of discussing the film This Can't Be Real...Is It?: The Awful Waffles Podcast we discussed how the film challenges conventions of a movie and who the targeted audience is. In addition, more personal questions were asked about the experience creating this film.         Here is my final draft of my film. It is titled  This Can't Be Real...Is It?: The Awful Waffles Podcast . This film is an animated comedy about a group of friends working on a podcast. The first two minutes represent an introduction of all the characters and how this podcast came to be.      I am very proud of how my film turned out. It is a comedy and has made everyone who watched it laugh. The animation of my film makes my film even more silly and quirky, which I am glad about. It isn't exactly how I envisioned it being at the beginning, but better. 

     A couple of days ago I came to the decision that I will not add on to my film.      I showed my final draft to my actors, just to ensure there were no more edits needed. we concluded that  it still is funny  and the removal of the last couple of seconds didn’t change much.        I decided not to add onto my film because of  two reasons . First, my voice actors couldn’t meet in person with me, due to COVID-19. They take   lockdown very seriously  and  it would have been during spring break (past the due date) when we could meet again  and film .  Second ly ,   a comment made by a student helped calm my nerves about my film seeming  too much lik e  a television show . Th is peer stated that the title cards and typography made it seem closer to a movie.  With these two reasons in mind, I have kept my film very similar to its rough draft.

      Today  I made the minor edits that I needed to improve my film.       On Premiere Pro, I increased the volume of one of my scenes because a   student talked about it being too quiet. I deleted the last four seconds of my film because a peer suggested that it might not have even been necessary. And, I created a copy of my original film in case I didn't like the edits that I made.     I still must decide whether I want to a dd onto my film or  not. The problem is that my film comes off as more of a  television show rather than an actual movie.  However, when  my peers were  giving suggestions on how to fix it, those edits  would have made my film more like a drama rather than a comedy.     I plan to make my final decision by the end of the month, February 2021, so that I will have time to make those edits before it is time to submit.        

     Today  I presented my film to my class and received feedback. Most of the feedback that I received were positive, but there  are  still improvements that I need to include.      The first statements I received were all from fellow classmates and were all positive. One person state d that they liked  the sound I used to emphasize the footsteps. Another person shared that they enjoyed my backgro und music for the typography. They described it as “fun”, which is what I was aiming for. A lot of the comments was that  my film  was cute, and I am glad people thought of it that way.      Now for my improvements. I had one  minor problem in which  a  person sa id  that in one of my scenes I need ed  to make the audio louder.  My other piece of feedback was to make my film seem more like a film rather than a TV show series.
